Project: Braze Racks for GM
The Problem
ADS has a longstanding relationship working with General Motors (GM) to create custom automated solutions for their manufacturing process. Our engineering contact at GM reached out to ADS requesting our expertise to create custom brazing racks used in electric car assembly.
The ADS Solution
The ADS design and engineering team designed and created custom brazing racks to withstand high oven temperatures. The ADS brazing rack design was constructed to be rigid enough to withstand high heat and light enough to be easily moved by an operator.
The Result
The brazing racks allowed parts to be loaded quickly and held securely in position to meet customer tolerances. These new brazing racks increased efficiency in GM’s process and reduced the risk of operator and equipment error during this process.
